Although Indian cricket started way back more than half a century years ago but it came to limelight in 1983 under the captaincy of Mr Kapil Dev when India crowned the champions of ICC Men's Cricket World Cup at Lords , England . Then under the captaincy of Mr Sourav Ganguly in 2003 , although lost the final match against Australia in ICC Men's Cricket World Cup and also in recent times 2023 under the leadership of Mr Rohit Sharma , India again lost the final match against Australia in ICC Men's World Cup , even after an unbeaten run all through the tournament , hosted by India . Also India won ICC t20 Men's World Cup twice in 2007 and 2024. But in 2011 when India triumphed 2nd time the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup it was an ecstacy to watch out for , relishing my childhood dream as a Cricketer to view India win the glorious ODI World Cup.
India has done remarkable performance over the decades and players like Sunil Gavaskar , Sachin Tendulkar , Rahul Dravid , Roger Bini , VVS Laxman , Yuvraj Singh , MS Dhoni , Ravindra Jadeja , Jasprit Boombra and many more .
