Women’s Cricket: India Beat Sri Lanka by 8 Wickets in Opening T20 in Visakhapatnam

In Women’s cricket, India defeated Sri Lanka by eight wickets in the opening T20 International of the five-match series in Visakhapatnam. India chased down the target of 122 runs in 14.4 overs with the help of Jemimah Rodrigues 69 runs off 44 balls.

Led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur, India are playing five T20s against Sri Lanka, as part of their Women’s T20 World Cup preparations. The next match of the series will be played on Tuesday at the same venue while the last three will be played in Thiruvananthapuram.
