South Africa's growing strength in international cricket over the past few years has been impressive. The Proteas recently lifted their second ICC Title, defeating the mighty Australians in the WTC Finals.

The Temba Bavuma-led side scripted history at the Home of Cricket in Lord's, when they defeated the hosts England by five runs in a thrilling encounter to take an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match series.

Matthew Breetzke continued his dream run with his fifth fifty in five international innings, as his match-winning knock of 85 helped the Proteas set a big total of 330 in their 50 overs. England fought till the end, but fell short by five runs after they were limited to 325/9.

South Africa's last series win in England came in 1998, when they defeated the side 2-1 in a three-match series. After that, the visitors lost four series in the UK.
